چکیده
Abstract We report on an unusually bright observation of PSR J1720−0533 using the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST). The pulsar is in a black widow system that was discovered by Commensal Radio Astronomy FAST Survey (CRAFTS). By coincidence, scintillation maximum simultaneous with eclipse our observation, which allowed for precise measurements flux density variations, as well dispersion measure (DM) and polarization. found there are quasi-periodic pulse emission variations modulation period ∼22 s during ingress eclipse, could be caused plasma lensing. No such periodic egress eclipse. linear polarization disappears before even visually obvious change DM. also scattering may play important role J1720−0533.

Identification of the Optical Counterpart of Fermi Black Widow Millisecond Pulsar Psr J1544+4937
We report the optical identification of the companion to the Fermi black widow millisecond pulsar PSR J1544+4937. We find a highly variable source on Keck LRIS images at the nominal pulsar position, with 2 magnitude variations over orbital period in the B, g, R, and I bands. The nearly achromatic light curves are difficult to explain with a simply irradiated hemisphere model, and suggest that t...
متن کاملXMM-Newton Observations of the Black Widow Pulsar PSR B1957+20
We report on XMM-Newton observations of the “Black Widow pulsar”, PSR B1957+20. The pulsar’s X-ray emission is non-thermal and best modeled with a single powerlaw spectrum of photon index 2.03+0.51 −0.36. No coherent X-ray pulsations at the pulsar’s spin-period could be detected, though a strong binary-phase dependence of the X-ray flux is observed for the first time. The data suggest that the ...
متن کاملThe Unusual Binary Pulsar Psr J1744−3922: Radio Flux Variability, Near-infrared Observation and Evolution
PSR J1744−3922 is a binary pulsar exhibiting highly variable pulsed radio emission. We report on a statistical multi-frequency study of the pulsed radio flux variability which suggests that this phenomenon is extrinsic to the pulsar and possibly tied to the companion, although not strongly correlated with orbital phase. The pulsar has an unusual combination of characteristics compared to typica...
متن کاملUnusual Pulsed X - Ray Emission from the Young , High Magnetic Field Pulsar Psr J 1119 – 6127
We present XMM–Newton observations of the radio pulsar PSR J1119–6127, which has an inferred age of 1,700 yr and surface dipole magnetic field strength of 4.1×10 13 G. We report the first detection of pulsed X-ray emission from PSR J1119–6127. In the 0.5–2.0 keV range, the pulse profile shows a narrow peak with a very high pulsed fraction of (74±14)%. In the 2.0–10.0 keV range, the upper limit ...
متن کاملUnusual profile variations in pulsar PSR J1022+1001 – Evidence for magnetospheric “return currents”?
We report a detailed multi-frequency study of significant instabilities observed in the average pulse profile of the 16-millisecond pulsar PSR J1022+1001. These unusual profile variations which are seen as a function of time and of radio frequency are clearly different from classical profile mode-changing. We also note discrete jumps in the polarisation position angle curve of this pulsar which...
